This role is Fixed for 6 months with possibility of extension.

In your new role you will:

You will be a key contributor to the Bank finance team and work with the finance leadership team to deliver all financial regulatory reporting related activity. You will be the regulatory reporting subject matter expert for the Bank and develop, implement, and maintain our regulatory reporting policies & processes, incorporating best practice and effective monitoring of regulatory developments. Specifically:

• Lead the implementation of our regulatory reporting & control environment, including development of policies, processes, systems and controls.
• Provide insightful data-driven inputs including forecasting of key regulatory metrics and impact analysis
• Identify and lead the implementation of enhancements to improve the accuracy and quality of regulatory reporting processes
• Lead the preparation of all external financial regulatory returns for the Bank (such as COREP Own Funds, Large Exposures, Asset Encumbrance, Leverage Ratio, ALMM, NSFR, PRA returns and BoE Statistical Returns)
• Ownership of key regulatory capital and liquidity metrics for internal and external reporting
• Participation and input to ICAAP, ILAAP, Solvent Wind Down and Recovery & Resolution processes
• Identify key regulatory developments in the industry and strategically advise on impact to the Bank
• Provide regulatory subject matter expertise to inform the Bank-wide new products and new clients approval process
• Lead financial regulatory reporting change management and projects
• Own regulatory reporting systems for the Bank and lead on regulatory technology testing in respect of regulatory system changes and business changes
• Day-to-day management of reporting processes

Who you are:

You will have a real passion for data, an eye for detail and the ability to connect the dots across finance, risk and other business areas. You kept yourself up to date on regulatory requirements and enjoy understanding the intent and responding accordingly.

• You have sound judgement and use your experience to apply effective approaches for decision making & problem-solving.
• Your financial background enables you to understand and interpret data effectively.
• You can tell stories using your strong communication skills and ability to identify what is essential.
• You have a good understanding of financial regulatory requirements and subject matter expertise in Capital and/or Liquidity regulatory environment in the UK, acquired by having implemented regulatory reporting systems or worked in regulatory reporting teams before.
• You will see yourself as having strong knowledge of key financial regulatory metrics (e.g. LCR, NSFR, CET 1 ratios)
• You will have led projects, worked with data systems and reconciled accounts.
• You’ll be self-disciplined, proactive and energised to deliver quality output against tight deadlines.
• You are a positive self-starter with excellent communication skills, that actively celebrate each person’s unique talent, passion and background.
• Self-aware, your unique story will highlight learning agility and grit as well as a hunger for growth.
• You are highly organised with the ability to lead and deliver multiple projects, with tight timescales and work in a hands-on, fast-paced young firm.
• You will have a professional accountancy qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
