Abacus Careers are pleased to be recruiting for a Risk & Reporting Sustainability Manager on behalf of one of the largest banks in Northern Ireland.

You will be joining a leader in NI who are driving sustainability in business, from being on track to having all their branches fossil fuel free by the end of the year, to being carbon neutral in operations since 2009. Our client was awarded the 2021 Environmental Leadership award due to their support to local businesses on education around sustainability.

Role:

As a Sustainability Manager you’ll play a key role in progressing the Bank’s sustainability strategy. You will engage, support and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and business areas in the development, implementation and delivery of a range of sustainability initiatives.

You’ll be responsible for preparing and compiling both internal and external sustainability reporting across a range of performance metrics and through technical and governance papers for senior stakeholders along with using data driven insights to undertake climate focused stress testing and scenario analysis.  Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the sustainability agenda is progressed in a risk astute and regulatory compliant way.

This role would suit an accountant or risk management professional looking to build their career in a sustainability role.
