Senior IT Architect

Senior Technical Architect needed to join a global Pharmaceutical company based in Northern Ireland. With a strong portfolio of existing products and significant investment in the launch of new global products annually, this is an excellent time to join this company.

The successful architect will be required to research, analyse, design, propose and deliver solutions that support the business and IT strategies in one or more enterprise architecture domain – ideally infrastructure and/or applications.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the architecture roadmap for one or more architecture domains that support the business and IT strategies.
• Lead the effort to provide integrated systems analysis and recommends appropriate hardware, software and communications solutions.
• Lead the effort to support, resolve and document issues that arise in the IT architecture.
• Selects appropriate design standards, methods and tools and ensures they are applied effectively.
• Reviews others’ systems design to ensure selection of the appropriate technology and efficient use of resources.

Essential Criteria:

• BSC in Computer Science, Information Technology or related subject(s) or equivalent work experience.
• Typically 10+ years of experience in multiple IT areas and 5-7 years of relevant architecture experience.
• Experience working with third party IT service providers and niche consultancies.
• Experience of the principles and practices involved in solutions development, maintenance, service delivery and project delivery.
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of at least one specific technology area and a broad understanding across a wide field along with a track record of applying such
