Senior IT Audit Consultant

Abacus Careers is working with a large IT client who is an established IT Consultancy and Audit Practice, based in Antrim, with a specific focus on Information Assurance, Audit, Programme and Project Management, IT Strategy and Architecture.

Our client has a significant platform of work and clients in both the public and private sectors. The company offers high quality, high value support and problem solving to large organisations with complex IT architecture and security needs.

The company now seeks experienced IT Auditors to join the core team to enhance delivery of audit services to clients. As a member of the consulting team, you will perform challenging assignments for clients across different sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to evaluate business process controls, application controls and IT controls
• Exposure and examination of internal controls and business risks by performing IT audit work, developing audit scope, procedures, and preparing audit reports
• Propose practical solutions to the client, most likely to management or the Board of Directors
• Evaluate the effectiveness of clients’ information-processing controls across industries and business process cycles
• Assist in the execution of Cyber Maturity Assessments at our clients in different sectors
• Pro-actively identify other areas of business initiatives and changes in the business environment and assess their impact on the business control environment

Necessary experience required:

• You must have demonstrated knowledge of IT operations and experience executing audits that includes network platforms, including.
• IT Audit and/or Data Analytics
• ERP applications such as SAP, oracle EBS, Microsoft Dynamics, etc;
• OS/DB, such as Windows Server, Linux, SQL Server.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant frameworks e.g., ISO27001, PCI-DSS, Cyber Assessment Framework, NIST, and NIS

Qualifications needed:

• CISA, CISM or CISSP Certification (or 5+ years in the last 7 working in an Information Security role)
• Lead Auditor or Practitioner qualification in ISO27001
• MSc, BSc in Cybersecurity, or Information Systems preferred.
