Senior Management Accountant opportunity with a global firm who have a strong client service focus where you will be responsible for internal management accounting & reporting support for the company’s US offices.

We are looking for someone with minimum three years’ post qualification experience, preferably in a commercial accounting role, with the ability to build and maintain strong trusted relationships internally and externally.

While ordinary hours are Mon-Fri from 9am – 5.30pm, the successful candidate will be required to work partial US hours which would be from 12pm to 8.30pm. This responsibility is shared across the senior team Mon-Thurs every week. Due to the hybrid working model, this can be worked from home for convenience!

You will be tasked to:

  • Ensure that financial data is accurately captured in the financial and forecasting systems
  • Liaise with the Cash team as required in order to facilitate payments, reconciliations and inter-office transfers
  • Support the annual financial audit process and execute the annual budgetary/forecasting process
  • Assist the Finance Team to develop practical solutions to improve the service and undertake value added activities
  • Work within the team to ensure processes and internal controls are documented, follow best practice and are continually improved
  • Become a trusted advisor to budget holders, business managers and key members of other finance teams
  • Help mentor and support more junior members of the Finance team
  • Anticipate the needs of the customer and provide timely solutions and opinions on complex matters
  • Present technical information in a way that is easily understood by a non-financial audience
  • Support business improvement projects where necessary

  • Fully qualified accountant with current membership of recognised accounting body
  • Strong organisational skills and demonstrated experience in meeting deadlines
  • Proven ability to prioritize on-going projects with business needs effectively
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to present financial information to non-specialist audiences
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and experience with complex financial systems
  • Creative approach and solutions driven individual
