Senior Network Engineer

Role:

A global organisation are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join their Operations team. If you are passionate about the field of networking and want to work with like-minded individuals, please read on.

This opportunity is perfect for a core Cisco Network Engineer, who has experience working in a large multinational previously, or has large scale unicast and multicast experience.

This company is a global markets leader, who are growing exponentially in Belfast, which is fast becoming one of their main tech hubs. Working in a fast paced and dynamic environment, you will challenge the status-quo and bring a fresh perspective to the table

Key duties:

• Lead network-based troubleshooting issues, being able to clearly analyse the problem at hand while interfacing with other departments to organise and control incident response
• Ability to work on simultaneous change implementations, with a focus on automation, documentation and collaboration with other teams
• Frequently engage in complex issues with both internal and external customers, with an emphasis on being able to analyse packet captures
• Work with the engineering team on operational acceptance testing for new environments, while being able to analyse gaps in procedures and documentation.

Essential Experience:

• 3+ years Network Engineering experience
• Cisco certified – CCNA/CCNP/CCIE
• Extensive troubleshooting experience in routing and switches – OSPF, BGP, STP
• Experience designing or supporting large scale multicast networks
• Excellent understanding of security best practices – Firewalls, Proxies, Penetration Scans
