Senior Payroll Clerk

Senior Payroll position with one of NI’s leading boutique Accountancy firms, you will play a key role in a high-performing team to deliver efficient value-added payroll services to clients across Northern Ireland. We are seeking an experienced payroll professional with 2+ years relevant hands-on processing in end-to-end payroll.

They key responsibilities are:

• Assist with the end-to-end payroll processing including review to ensure accuracy
• Ensuring all payrolls are executed to a high standard, and delivered on time through efficient workload management and prioritization
• Provide support to junior staff and deal with queries in a timely manner
• Support new and existing client portfolio to ensure client expectations are managed and fulfilled
• Assisting with key reports for clients and management
• Ad-hoc duties to assist the Payroll Manager as needed.

Location: Belfast, office-based position

Salary: Competitive circa. £25K+ (negotiated on experience)

Other: 33 days annual leave (incl. stats), company pension contribution, early Friday finish, parking available!

Comtract: Full Time, Permanent 

Eligibility Criteria:

• 2 years plus relevant payroll experience (practice, bureau or in-house)
• Payroll qualification is desirable (e.g., CIPP)
• Experience in Sage Payroll is desirable.
• Understanding of payroll best practice, legislation and compliance
• Ability to work to deadlines managing workloads in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
