Our top tier client an expert in renewable energy is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Renewable Analyst . You will report directly to the Renewable Development Manager. You will engage with external stakeholders in the renewable energy sector and strengthen relationships.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Provide commercial terms to renewable generators and negotiate contracts.

Engage with legal partners about contract drafting and ad-hoc contractual queries/disputes.

Maintain open lines of communication with generators and respond to all queries in a timely fashion.

Observe and record market developments and communicate competitor activity.

Assist Back Office to effectively manage Power NI’s ROC/REGO positions and trade accordingly.

Draft board papers seeking approval to enter new contracts/trades.

Update models for month end settlement and maintain log of contractual changes.

Provide Trading with relevant data to facilitate necessary hedging required.

Review and update material contract and risk registers.

Provide bi-weekly updates to PPA Working Group on internal and external PPA work streams.

Engage with external bodies to keep abreast of ISEM and renewable industry developments.

Essential Criteria:

At least 3 years’ experience of working in the energy industry.

Demonstrable experience of building and maintaining relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrable experience of negotiating and agreeing contracts with the ability to draft and present necessary approval papers.

Personable and confident, at ease communicating with senior stakeholders both internally and externally and has experience in a customer facing environment.

Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the ability to present findings in a clear and concise manner with excellent attention to detail, having the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently whilst working to strict deadlines.

Desirable Criteria:

Sales/negotiating experience.

Prior knowledge of renewable environment and government support schemes.

Exposure to sales contracts and proof-reading experience.

Knowledge of ISEM.
