Site Project Engineer / Jnr Project Manager

A major manufacturing company is on the market to recruit a Site Project Engineer / Junior Project Manager. This is a vital appointment as the company is on the cusp of major capital investment and expansion which will majorly advance the production capacity.

This is a large, award winning and innovative company and they offer a strong track record in learning and development and internal progression.

Role

Oversee and manage onsite construction projects – some are strategic other projects adhoc. This includes building extensions and modifications

Instil innovation and ideas into drawings that lead to energy efficiency, waste reduction and cost savings

Collaborate with architects, builders and contractors in relation to your drawings and third party designs or engineering framework drawings, construction process, materials etc

Manage regulatory and safety protocols and quality standards

Manage an array of large and small projects including timeframes, contractors/people, budgets

Revise drawings and maintain drawing database library

Criteria

Proven experience as Site Project Engineer, or as Site Manager and it may also suit a junior Project Manager with aspirations to be a PM in future.

Ideally demonstrate a minimum of 3 years’ experience gained in a manufacturing or construction environment

Project management skills and experience                            

Strong experience of AutoCAD or other relevant software

Third level degree (or equivalent) ideally engineering or related field

This suits a person with an ability to work on own initiative, be self-motivated, collaborate with key stakeholders (internal and external) at all levels including senior management team.
