Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing and potential clients, actively participating in client meetings.
  • Oversee service delivery and maintain high-quality standards for key disease clients.
  • Enhance the profile of the Firm in the Disease market through marketing initiatives such as articles, blogs, seminars, and training sessions.
  • Manage your caseload, including high-value and complex cases, with support and meet agreed performance metrics.
  • Contribute to strategic contract tender submissions to further the firm’s success.
  • Collaborate in developing strategies to counter opponent behaviors.

Working Hours:

  • 35 hours per week – Hybrid working model.
  • Primary location: Belfast office.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications: Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Prior experience in litigated defendant insurance work, up to £500k, with a focus on Disease cases (e.g., HAVS, Mesothelioma, Plaques, Asbestosis, Dermatitis, and hearing loss claims).
  • Excellent workload prioritization and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in working with case management systems.

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated success working in a legal team environment.
  • Experience contributing to tenders and pricing.

Required Soft Skills:

  • Ability to motivate and lead a team, fostering a positive working environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Effective delegation abilities to maximize team efficiency.
  • Aptitude for identifying pragmatic solutions to challenges.
