Solution Engineer

They require a Solutions Engineer to join their Chaos Engineering Team.

Your new day to day:

The Solution Engineer will be part of the Chaos Engineering, Performance, and Automation team for Allstate’s data ecosystem.

The primary focus will be to ensure reliability engineering, better handle system failures, and minimize production issues by safely degrading the state of product applications and infrastructure services.

You will be responsible for working closely with the development teams, providing input into architecture and scalability, contributing to benchmarking, evangelizing and supporting performance work and providing technical leadership.

What do you need to have?:

• Experience in a Performance Test engineering role, C/C++, Java, JMeter, SQL
• Building Monitoring dashboards using common APM tools
• Ability to dissect product’s architecture, design, and test environments
• Able to conduct POCs, defects submissions, Chaos Testing, UI and APIs testing, and supporting development team with implementation of self-healing capabilities

Would be good to have:

• Experience scripting in Groovy, Python for CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with NoSQL data stores and transport systems such as Spark, Storm, Cassandra, and Kafka
• Chaos Testing tools such as Chaos Monkey, Litmus, Gremlin, AWS FIS, etc.
• Test results reporting and presentation skills.
