As a Technical Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our clients managed service team, ensuring efficient and effective IT support to their diverse clientele. With a focus on lightning-fast response times, you’ll be at the forefront of resolving technical issues, delivering top-notch problem-solving skills, and managing networks like a pro. They offer the flexibility of working from the Belfast office or the comfort of your own home—whichever sparks your productivity!

Picture yourself as the go-to expert, not only troubleshooting technical problems but also building strong customer relationships and ensuring compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs). You’ll have the opportunity to put your skills to the test by undertaking IT projects, whether autonomously or alongside the talented technical team.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting and maintaining MS Windows 7/8/10 users: You’ll be the superhero behind the scenes, ensuring users have the best experience with their Microsoft Windows systems.
  • Competent Office 365 administration: With your expertise, you’ll navigate the intricacies of Office 365, guaranteeing smooth operations for clients.
  • Setting up and configuring new devices: From laptops to tablets and everything in between, you’ll be the wizard who brings these gadgets to life.
  • Collaborating with third-party vendors: Your excellent communication skills will shine as you work alongside external partners to facilitate software installations and provide seamless integration.
  • Staying up to date with security: You’ll ensure that antivirus software, security patches, and operating system upgrades are applied promptly and diligently across all devices.
  • Undertaking thrilling IT projects: Whether you’re working independently or collaborating with your talented colleagues, you’ll tackle exciting projects that push the boundaries of what’s possible in IT services.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • Previous experience in providing support and implementation within a fast-paced technical services environment: Your expertise and adaptability will be crucial to excel in the dynamic setting.
  • Microsoft Windows, Office & Server Experience: You’re well-versed in the Microsoft ecosystem, ready to navigate its depths with finesse.
  • Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP: These essential components of network infrastructure are like second nature to you.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and technologies: Your knowledge of VMware, Citrix, Routers, Switches, Wireless Access Points, Firewalls, and Backup Technologies will set you apart.
  • Good knowledge of Office 365 and Microsoft Cloud Stack.
  • Multitasking and problem-solving abilities: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, effortlessly juggling multiple tasks while delivering effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and customer handling skills: Your interpersonal finesse allows you to build strong relationships with the clients, ensuring their satisfaction every step of the way.
  • Flexibility and adaptability: You’re not afraid of change—in fact, you embrace it! You’ll readily adapt to evolving service delivery methods and eagerly embrace new challenges.
  • Willingness to travel: As the opportunity arises, you’ll be open to visiting client sites both in the UK and Ireland, ensuring exceptional service wherever it’s needed. A full current UK driving license and your own transport will be essential for this aspect.

Additionally, the following qualifications and experiences would be advantageous:

  • MCP qualified or IT-related certification/experience: Your passion for continuous learning and professional development is evident.
  • Experience using RMM toolsets in the past
  • Use of InTune and Azure Administration
