We are looking for a graduate to join the Belfast-based Finance Team. The successful candidate will be someone who is highly motivated, willing to learn and has an understanding of key financial concepts, processes and controls.

During a four-year training contract, you will gain a unique opportunity to learn about all aspects of the finance function while gaining hands on experience in this commercial environment.

Responsibilities of the Finance Graduate

You won’t just study and observe, you’ll have the opportunity to work hands on and gain real practical experience across various rotations within the finance team. Here are some of the tasks you will be responsible for:

  • Calculation of accruals and prepayments
  • Preparation and posting of journals
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Variance analysis against budget
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete accounting of costs
  • Management of Purchase Orders, Invoices and aged creditors reporting
  • Assist with preparation of cost reports
  • Assist with budgetary planning and forecasting
  • Preparation of monthly VAT returns
  • Presentation of results and analysis to management

Essential & Desirable Criteria

  • Achieved, or on track to in 2022, a final result of 2:1 or above in an Accountancy, Finance or related degree
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Willing to commence and undertake study for professional Chartered Accountancy Qualification
  • Proven skills in time management, organisation and workload planning
  • Excellent numerical skills and keen eye for detail
