As Trainee Accounting Technician you will be a key member of the Accounts Department ensuring your accounting and finance responsibilities are efficiently carried out while gaining excellent support and training from the experienced team, lead by the Finance Director.

You will gain excellent training and support, and opportunities for professional development.

Day to day you can expect to be involved with:

  • Dealing with client and supplier queries, managing your inbox in a timely manner
  • Ensure banking transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Ensure payments are processed in a timely manner.
  • Accurate cash allocation from payments received daily.
  • Produce billing with excellent attention to detail.
  • Correctly manage the charge allocation of all costs and expenses
  • Manage creditor invoicing process and reconcile statements.
  • Reconciliation of accounts and banking
  • Manage staff expenses on a monthly basis.
  • Management of petty cash
  • Assist with VAT returns.
  • Journal postings and month-end processes

You should have:

  • Studying towards or interested in pursuing an Accounting Technician or Bookkeeping qualification.
  • Experience in the use of MS Office, including Excel proficiency, is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage workload to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
