The Role:

Reporting to the Management Accountant, the Trainee Management Accountant will support the finance department in all areas of management and financial reporting, with an emphasis on the production of aspects of the weekly and monthly management accounts.

• Production of weekly management accounts in a timely manner.
• Preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports to support the wider business.
• Support the forecast and budget process.
• Support during audits (both statutory and internal audits).
• Production of aspects of the periodic management accounts to strict deadlines.
• Assist with hard close and completion of balance sheet reconciliations as required.
• Any other duties as requested to support the successful operation of the business.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Studying to attain a membership of a professional body e.g., CIMA, ACCA.
• Experience working within a fast-paced finance environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiar with other Accounting Software packages.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workloads to meet set deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the business.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.
• 3^rd level qualification in Business, Finance or Accounting technician qualification (desired).
