Powered by Talent Conference Expands in 2019

Northern Ireland’s largest talent and engagement conference is returning to the International Convention Centre (ICC) Belfast this May following its inaugural success last year.

The full day event on Wednesday 22 May 2019 has been significantly expanded this year and will accommodate in excess of 500 attendees; making it the largest talent-focused conference on the island of Ireland and one of the highest profile events in the UK.

Powered By Talent unites businesses from the professional services sector to highlight best practice in the attraction, development and retention of a company’s main asset, its people.

The event sees business leaders and stakeholders from a wide cross-section of industries take part in interactive discussions and engage with industry thought leaders.

Speakers for the event in May incorporate six international keynote speakers as well as 30 local industry experts.  They include Lady Chanelle McCoy, Founder of Chanelle Medical, part of the multi-million pound global company Chanelle Pharmaceutical Group; Rob Williams, EMEA Director of Insights, Indeed; Debra Searle MBE, Adventurer and Motivational Speaker; Thom Kenney, CEO, Smashfly; Dr Louise McCullough, SAS: Who Dares Wins 2019 and Neil Gibson, Chief Economist, EY.

Aimed at businesses eager to maximise their return on investment from talent and engagement initiatives, Powered By Talent provides attendees with insight, advice and guidance on the latest and most effective people practices currently adopted by the world’s best companies.   Topics to be explored at the conference in May include: Building Winning Teams, Employer Branding 3.0.

HAIR (AI in HR), Next Generation Leadership, and True Diversity & Real Inclusion.

Justin Rush, founding member of Powered By Talent and Director of Abacus Talent Group, a successful Belfast based group of companies that focus on recruitment, consulting and outsourcing, said; “Talent attraction and retention remains one of the biggest challenges businesses face.  We have seen the emergence of Northern Ireland as a powerful economic force.

With innovative indigenous businesses growing rapidly alongside increasing inward investment from some of the world’s leading companies.  The issue of talent and how we leverage, develop and promote best practice in our talent has never been more important.

The attraction and retention of top talent is a boardroom challenge across Northern Ireland and Powered By Talent is an opportunity to hear from and engage in the discussion with some of the foremost thought-leaders in business and talent.”

Powered By Talent is focused on making Northern Ireland more globally competitive.  Headline sponsor of the event in 2019 is EY with additional support from SmashFly, Belfast City Council, A&L Goodbody, Think People.

A limited number of exhibition opportunities and sponsorships are still available but companies wishing to support the event, that was a sell-out in 2018, are advised to register their interest in Powered By Talent as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Tickets for the Powered by Talent conference are currently available. For more information or to book tickets visit  www.poweredbytalent.com.
