Team Abacus fundraising events 2022

Supporting initiatives in our local community and globally is a big part of our corporate social responsibility commitment. At Abacus, we are always interested in supporting worthy causes.
This year we are tremendously proud of our team effort. We have ran, swam, crawled, packed, paddled and even worn funny jumpers. The collective spirit we have shown makes each one of us feel immensely satisfied.
With 2022 coming to an end, here’s a reminder of all the fundraising activities and the donations raised. A big well done and thank you to everyone involved!
10k Fun Run on St Patricks Day – £1,700 raised via sponsorship for Belfast City Hospital Trust
Romanian for Ukraine appeal, £1,500 donated to the cost of sending two containers of aid. Along with many other supporters we also collected enough items to fill the containers!
Rathmore Grammar School as sponsor of Girls U 16 Soccer Team in Sept 2022 – £500
Marys Meals School Sponsorship Programme, Since Jan 2022 we have donated £3,300 which ensures 203 children in Liberia are fed while attending school
Cancer Fund For Children, The Mud Run in Castlewellan Forrest Park – £342
Christmas Jumper day in aid of – £128
The Abacus Charity Challenge December – £2300, Four teams from Abacus decide on which causes they want to support in the local area
Boat Sponsor, Northern Ireland team for the Motor Neutron canoeing challenge – £500
Belfast Drug & Alcohol outreach programme – £300 towards cost of Christmas Hampers
Friends of the Cancer Centre – £100 Sawyers Luxury Hamper donated to Allen & Overy
Total = £10,670
