We love to shout loud and proud about our diversity beliefs so as we joined in on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.belfastpride.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Belfast Pride<\/a> celebrations for another year running, here&#8217;s our reflection on 3 reasons why\u2026 (and it\u2019s not just for a party)!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Challenge Minds and Hearts:&nbsp;<\/strong>Pride gives us with an opportunity to challenge current LGBTQ+ rights and to stand together as we continue to raise awareness for equality, particularly in Northern Ireland (the only part of the UK where same-sex marriage is still not legal). This year\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.belfastpride.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Belfast Pride<\/a> Festival theme was #RightsNow, as the event grows and continues to apply pressure to the Northern Ireland leaders.<\/li><li><strong>Community:<\/strong> The LGBT+ community and allies are a fantastic of example of what it means to \u201ccome together as a community\u201d. Belfast was BUZZING as businesses, communities and partnerships joined together to spread awareness and show their support to the LGBTQ+ community\u2026 and that makes us all very proud to be part of.<\/li><li><strong>For Cara-Friend:&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abacus.careers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Abacus Careers<\/a> hosted a Proud Bake Off, a Pride Quiz, launched pride themed branding across social media throughout August, plus all employees also fashioned their most loud and proud colours for the event on the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> August! <strong>We raised a fantastic total of \u00a3376.10<\/strong> in aid of <a href=\"https:\/\/cara-friend.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cara Friend<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/cara-friend.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cara-Friend<\/a> has been serving the LGBTQ+ community in Northern Ireland for over 40 years. They provide vital resources to help young people, and those supporting young people who are LGBTQ+ in Northern Ireland.
