08 April, 2021Senior Data Analyst needed to join a leading Energy company and contribute to the company’s continued success.
This role sits within the Technology and Innovation department, in the Data and Reporting team.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Provide technical leadership to a multi-skilled technical team and customers.
- Provide support and guidance to team members.
- Ensure team outputs align with the organisations development methodologies, system architecture standards, best practices, and deployment processes.
- Seek out new ideas and techniques which will enhance quality, speed of delivery, supportability and communicate your own ideas to offer expert advice to others.
- Responsibility for providing root cause analysis to Application Systems issues and management of third level support.
- Acting as a system expert by responding to and developing ad hoc queries and scripts and providing application support.
- Ensuring priority incidents are responded to and closed within the SLAs.
- Capturing and coordinating requirements on incidents.
- Engaging with internal customers/third parties to ensure the systems and solutions continuously meets business requirements.
- Liaising with internal customers to define functional and non-functional software specifications for the supported systems.
- Communicating business specifications in a clear and concise manner.
- Conducting a review of software development, test cases and evidence before applying changes to the Production environment.
- Providing support and development to business process areas.
Essential Criteria:
- Strong problem solving, analytical skills and programming ability.
- Solid proven experience in a project delivery or support role in three or more of the following technologies \ applications:
Experience in SQL e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, MY SQL
Experience in creating Stored Procedures and ETL Development
Experience in Design, Development and Deployment with SSIS, SSRS & SSAS
Unix / Linux
Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) System
Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle RDBMS
Windows Server
