Accounts Assistant

Abacus Careers are working with a fantastic company on their search for an experienced Purchase Ledger and Accounts admin Clerk a diverse client base across UK, this is a fantastic opportunity based in Lisburn for someone with excellent excel and reporting skills experience to join a company with an unrivalled reputation and a terrific team environment

Main Activities/Tasks

• Maintenance of the sales and purchase ledgers. Timely and accurate processing of customer and supplier Invoices to include reconciliation of invoices, expenditure, statements and the preparation of supplier payment runs.
• Daily bank reconciliation of all bank accounts
• Dealing with suppliers regarding queries on accounts and resolving any disputes regarding non payment of invoices
• Issue of company purchase orders
• Issue of Weekly Debtors Reports and follow up.
• Assisting with the preparation of VAT Returns and EC Sales Lists to HMRC
• Reconciliation of all company expenditure
• Processing staff expenses and reconciliation of company credit cards

Essential Criteria:

*Purchase ledger and accounts admin experience

• Be highly motivated and be capable of working on their own initiative and without supervision
• Have previous experience in MS office applications including Powerpoint, Word and Excel.
• Possess excellent communication skills as demonstrated on their application form and at interview
• Exhibit excellent organisational skills and attention to detail along with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
