17 September, 2021Are you ready to join a team of professionals? Our client is a leading global manufacturer to the construction industry. Working as part of the Global Logistics team, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for providing logistics support to the Materials Processing.
Main Duties & Responsibilities will include:
Main escalation point to support operations to solve problems and provide solutions
Support the Carrier Governance Program for MP
Support Safety Improvement Initiatives
Ensure Carriers are performing to the expected KPI’s and service level agreements
Provide logistics support for any MP specific projects
Ensure compliance to the logistics routing guides
Support any Premium Freight or spot quote requests
Provide Customer freight rates
Identify & deliver operational cost reduction and cost avoidance initiatives
Develop and support logistic models for new markets and business segments
Implement new processes and procedures in line with changes in industry legislation
Communicate all rate updates as applicable
Support the Logistics Managers with implementation on Continuous Improvement initiatives
Manage Carrier Invoice requirements to the expected KPI’s
Oversee and provide support for the Freight Bill and Audit/Invoicing requirements for the MP segment
Manage the MP transport claims process
Skills and Experience required:
- Minimum of 12 months experience in a Logistics or Supply Chain environment would be desirable
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Experience of various modes of transport, an advantage would be on Heavy Haulage and Ro-Ro shipping.
Strong degree of PC literacy and proficiency in the use of MS Office applications in particular MS Excel
Ability to pay particular attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency
Strong organisational skills
A logical and systematic approach to work
Good time management ability
Ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions
Commercial awareness and numeracy skills
A medium level of travel (Approx. 20%) is envisaged.
