Abacus are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing consultancy firm as they look to hire a Senior Business Analyst to join the team.   • You will be an expert in one or more areas of Finance, Data, IT, Quality Assurance within the funds/Insurance/Banking/Regulatory.
  • Manage and lead teams on projects and work with other areas of the consulting business to deliver high quality client services.
  • You will be responsible to the delivery of IT/ Change/ Data/ Quality Assurance projects through methodologies such as as Agile, Scrum/ Kanban and traditional waterfall when required, leveraging your domain knowledge and sector experience.
  • You will create high quality work products and act as a subject matter expert on one or more services to advise our clients how to achieve their project objectives.
  • Take responsibility for the mobilisation of delivery projects and dependencies bring them to realisation within agreed timelines.
  • Help form teams to bring projects from initial scope, providing advice on requirements to final realisation.
  • Ability to identify and assess risk, to communicate and adapt accordingly.

Person Specification

  • Experience as a Senior BA of the full project lifecycle from initial concept to implementation
  • Experience of running workshops with key stakeholders to identify, understand and document detailed business requirements for IT solutions and/or business process change.
  • Facilitate requirement gathering.
  • Able to clearly articulate complex ideas and requirements in concise language (written and verbal)
  • Understand and document business requirements and propose solutions.
  • Analyse complex issues, understand business challenges and drive As IS & To Be process design in order to deliver solutions that align to current and future business needs.
  • Be capable of reviewing data underlying business processes.
  • Capable of working through complex issues to find suitable customer focused solutions.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with teams and key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse team evaluating all ideas and proposed solution and bringing into alignment a change initiative involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience of Agile Methodology – User Stories, Scrum, Kanban, Sprints etc and the role of a BA in an Agile Environment
