The Supplier Engagement, Procurement and Contracts Specialist will be a key member of the Technology and Innovation business who is responsible for delivering innovative, high quality and cost-effective technology solutions that support all business activities across the company group
Our client is seeking to recruit the services of an individual with the requisite skills and experience to select, contract with and manage external suppliers, to build productive, mutually beneficial relationships, monitor and report on performance and ensure optimum return for each chosen investment.

Responsibilities
- Engage with suppliers, holding to account on contractual and performance related matters, appraising against target and invoking corrective/realignment measures in a timely fashion as appropriate
Report on performance within T&I and the wider company group
Build mutually beneficial relationships acting as primary point of contact/escalation and gateway into the T&I business
Vet, contact with and proactively manage suppliers linking internally with other company departments such as Legal and Finance
In association with the company Procurement Specialist, run and or work alongside other internal and external subject matter experts to procure products and services in accordance with the company policy
Actively support operational teams, Project Management Office and business colleagues within T&I and the wider company group in the achievement of business objectives
Work with the T&I management team to develop strategy, operational effectiveness, and achievement of business objectives
Essential Criteria
- Procurement and contract management experience in an organisation of similar size
Solid supplier engagement experience, skills in managing and building relationships
Solid experience in vendor management/engagement
Experience of using e-procurement and financial management systems
Strong commercial awareness
Degree minimum 2:2 BA/BS
Desirable Criteria
- Procurement qualification
Knowledge of the Utilities Contracts Regulations
Experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects teams
Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role within regulation procurement/vendor management
