A global Law firm need an App Support Analyst to join the Global Service Management team, who are responsible for shaping and running the firm’s applications and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing Global 3rd line support and maintenance of core applications within the firm, including strong knowledge of the following: 3E, Intapp Open and Carpe Diem.
  • Management of the SQL platform across the various tiers of service
  • Understand all the upgrade and maintenance work to ensure stable, performant and supportable operation.
  • Understand the operation of the applications in order to: Perform schema updates; Tune and refine indexes to achieve optimum performance; ETL; Implement solutions for CTE/production; Implement data layer disaster recovery services; Perform performance and stress tests in CTE.
  • A good understanding of the OS, virtualisation, hardware, replication and storage technologies used to support the SQL platform.
  • End-to-end ownership of incidents, ensuring accurate and timely updates are maintained through Assyst 
  • Accountable for the management and maintenance of systems and services, by ensuring they are fit for purpose and available at all required times.
  • This includes maintaining and optimising applications and infrastructure; and bringing new releases into production.

 Key requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years IT experience with at least 1 years’ experience in a 3rd line role supporting a number of the technologies listed.
  • It is vital to have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and MCP/MCDBA accreditation preferred.
  • Detailed practical knowledge of the operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure and services within a Microsoft technology environment.
  • It is desirable to have experience of: TSQL and Powershell, SQL High Availability and DR, Web/REST/API services, Biztalk Support, Workflow management and Finance system management.
  • Strong organisational skills with a proven track record in a challenging support department.
  • Commitment to rapidly resolve incidents using a logical and structured approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong commitment to excellent customer service.
