14 March 2023 by Stuart John
Below are snapshot details of five Solicitors that the Abacus Careers Legal Recruitment Team have helped find a new position in the last year. All of these professionals had these common traits:
(a) strong academics,
(b) a strong motivation to move into a larger firm/more corporate environment and,
(c) a genuine desire and interest in the area they moved into.
Examples:
A 1 yr PQE Solicitor, trained in a small, regional practice with Family Law experience post qualified. Joined a Tier 1, Chambers listed firm within the Commercial Property team.
A 1 yr PQE Solicitor who trained and qualified within a general practice who joined a large, city centre firm as part of their corporate department.
A 2 yr PQE residential conveyancing solicitor, working within a firm based outside of Belfast joined a global law firm as part of the Real Estate team.
A newly qualified solicitor completed their training contract with a sole practitioner, joined the Real Estate team of an International Law firm based in Belfast.
A newly qualified solicitor who trained in a firm handling criminal and family work, joined a Tier 1 ranked firm as part of the Property Litigation and Building Disputes team.
