Accounts Assistant reporting to the Management Accountant

This new role has been created due to business growth and expansion.  The successful applicant will join an established, busy team supporting a growing number of companies, dealing with multiple customers across the world and associated currencies. We are seeking a motivated individual who is keen to learn and develop in a fast-paced and changing environment.

Main Responsibilities

Processing sales orders and raising customer invoices for a number of jurisdictions including the UK, North America and Australia.

Responding to customer queries in a competent and timely manner, redirecting to technical/sales/other as appropriate.

Dealing with incoming customer and other calls including credit card payments.

Assisting the finance team in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data within the order processing and accounting systems.

Assisting with other finance tasks as required including month end processes

Person Specification

Essential criteria:

5 GCSE’s, Grade C or higher, including English and Maths.

1+ years experience in a finance environment.

Experience of computerised accounting package.

Computer literate and proficient in MS Excel.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Criteria:

Accounting Technician qualification or equivalent.

Experience of a computerised CRM/order system.

Flexibility in adapting to varied workload and willingness to assist in providing cover within the department.
