Position Details:
Reporting to the Finance Controller you will be responsible for all areas of Cost Accounting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyse current machine costings including materials, labor, and overhead to establish annual standard costs.
- Evaluate machine margins to ensure profitability targets are met.
- Manage the process for costing new machines through NPPD (New Product Planning and Development).
- Prepare cost information to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Oversee inventory management processes including obsolete inventory handling, cycle count approvals, and audits.
- Coordinate month-end inventory organization closure and provide necessary information for financial monthly close cycles.
- Develop and maintain monthly financial spend and absorption trackers for management review.
- Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives within the business.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly analysis of direct labor efficiencies.
- Assist the Financial Controller in preparing site scorecards and management packs.
- Present financial information to managers in a clear and understandable format.
- Maintain procedure documents and conduct SOX testing to ensure compliance and maintain a high SOX score.

About You:
Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Cost Accountancy within a Manufacturing Environment.
- Proficient in Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, and ideally experienced with Oracle.
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Results-oriented mindset with the drive and energy to achieve goals.
- Ideally, possess a third-level education in an Accounts capacity such as CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
