The Role
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Billing Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all billing processes are efficient and effective, and that invoices are timely, accurate, and compliant with client requirements. An overview of the role is as follows:
- Oversee the day-to-day billing operations, including initial hands-on role in invoice generation, review, and approval.
- Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines, as well as with the firms’ internal policies and procedures.
- Work closely with consultants and stakeholders to resolve any billing-related issues or disputes.
- Manage the migration of billing support functions to the firm’s NI based SSC, including process mapping, training, and quality assurance.
- Develop and implement best practices for billing processes and procedures, including automation and system enhancements.
- Prepare regular reports and analytics on billing performance, including KPIs and trend analysis.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage a team of billing professionals, providing coaching and mentorship to support their professional development.
- Support ad-hoc projects as needed.
The Candidate
We are seeking a candidate who can offer expertise in Billing to include:
- 4+ years of revenue or billing management experience, including experience with complex billing arrangements.
- Strong understanding of billing processes, including knowledge of billing software and e-billing systems
- Proven track record of successful team management and development
- Strong analytical skills, with experience developing and analysing billing-related reports and KPIs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable Experience
- Experience managing large-scale process improvement and/or migration projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Experience with Credit Control/AR processes would be advantageous
