Working with a UK based professional firm growing around the globe, we have an opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper to join their team and provide essential support to the business.

As bookkeeper, you will be responsible for:

  • Accurately record all financial transactions, including client trades, investments, commissions, fees, and other income and expenses.
  • Manage and update client accounts, vendor accounts, and bank accounts.
  • Reconcile client statements with the firm’s records to verify that transactions are accurately recorded and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Prepare financial reports for decision-making and compliance purposes.
  • Assist with payroll preparation and commission payments.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Provide assistance with audit preparation.
  • Ensure processes are efficient and implement improvements where necessary.

Working on a remote basis, you must be resident in Northern Ireland and eligible to work in the UK without requiring a Visa or Sponsorship.

You will need to have a suitable space in your home to work free of distractions, as a key element of this role will be your ability to deliver accuracy through strong attention to detail.

Candidate Criteria:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
  • Strong IT proficiency with experience in using computerised accounting package(s)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
  • Flexible and proactive attitude, willing to help other teams where necessary.
  • Accounting Technician or Bookkeeping qualification is desirable.
  • Good understanding of compliance / experience in a professional services industry would be highly advantageous.
