Our client, a dynamic and growing law firm, is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their busy Legal finance team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced bookkeeper with a strong background in cashiering and administration, preferably within a legal firm.

We are also accepting applications from candidates with strong finance administration, accounts payable or accounts receivable in other industries as training can be provided to those with a transferable skillset.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable inbox for invoices and related queries.
  • Process pre-authorized invoices and create new suppliers accounts.
  • Handle internal requests and inquiries related to disbursements, supplier statements, and other office account cashiering processes.
  • Respond to queries from Partners, Fee Earners, and Secretaries
  • Process purchase invoices and submit payments on the banking portal.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as required, including assisting with year-end audits.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Strong experience in cashiering and/or similar bookkeeping or finance administration role
  • Good IT systems knowledge, including Excel.
  • Ability to develop strong internal and external working relationships.
  • Ability to pick up and understand the requirements of the role quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and clients.
  • Strong numeracy, communication and interaction skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
