Ogletree Deakins recently announced a significant investment in the local legal sector in Northern Ireland. Following the first recruitment drive, the firm is now keen to expand their Global Solutions centre in Belfast with a large recruitment wave.

There is a team +2300 staff in 53 offices throughout the US and in Europe, Canada, and Mexico. The leadership team has major plans for Belfast; it’s an amazing time to support a diverse range of clients across many industries, including many of the Fortune 50 corporations in the US.

Multiple Opportunities

Abacus is exclusively recruiting a high volume of Paralegals to join and expand the immigration team. Working closely with your US colleagues and attorneys, you will obtain excellent training and support from the local and US leadership team and deliver highly valuable legal support for large corporate clients across multiple sectors and industries.

The global mobility practice has more than 100 full-time immigration attorneys, 200 paralegals, and more than 100 additional support professionals. Belfast has an important part to play in the future and progression opportunities will be available as the firm continues to expand in the next 12-24 months.

The Role
Due to the scale of growth, opportunities are available for recent law graduates. You must offer a law degree as well as analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
Right from the outset you will be working for some of the world’s largest banks and tech companies, having the opportunity to be involved in interesting and impactful work. You will have responsibility for your own case load but will also work closely within a team environment to support your clients and colleagues. You will be expected to make your own judgement in drafting immigration petitions, making decisions and escalating issues.
All roles are permanent, full time and will be based both in the office and home. An attractive financial and non-financial rewards and benefits package is provided.
