As Trainee Accountant you will assist the team to produce high quality financial information in a timely manner, learning directly from a team of experienced professionals. You will learn the ins and outs of a commercial business and becoming proficient in accounting standards and practices.

What you will be involved with:

• Managing customer credit and finance transactions.
• Ensure that all documents are approved and processed in a timely manner.
• Bank reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, follow up of review points, ad-hoc journal preparation and input, intercompany reconciliations, fixed asset accounting inc. assets under construction, hire purchase accounting, accounting for loans.
• Month end close and management account preparation.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Reporting to internal and external stakeholders of all levels of financial knowledge.
• Assisting in audit preparation.
• Additional ad-hoc tasks and projects.

Your application will stand out if you offer:

• Accounting or Finance degree or business degree with a significant finance component.
• Committed to study professional qualifications (CIMA/ACCA)
• Good teamwork and strong communication skills.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Placement experience within a finance team (desirable)
• Experience using an accounting software (desirable)
