Finance Assistant

Our client is a global leader in software solutions, helping businesses and organisations overcome some of their most challenging problems using innovative technology. They have offices in 50+ countries, one of which is in our very own Belfast. This new role with their Finance team has come through increased growth in their operations.

The Role

The position of Financial Assistant supports the Revenue function of the finance team and will work closely alongside senior members of the team, including the CFO, to deliver top class services to stakeholders around the world.

Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant

  • Sales order approval and processing purchase invoices for assigned entities.
  • Review open bills to monitor due dates to prepare fortnightly payment runs.
  • Reviewing non-compliant revenue arrangements, error reports etc.
  • Posting monthly revenue for assigned entities.
  • Reviewing revenue recognition is in line with POC report, completing reconciliations.
  • Compiling unbilled revenue report.
  • Compiling a deferred revenue report and services deferred revenue report for assigned entities, sharing with relevant teams for review.
  • Make adjustments to projects/sales orders where applicable
  • Preparation of an Annual Recurring Revenue report for assigned entities.
  • Preparation of a Revenue by Customer report for assigned entities.
  • Complete bank reconciliations for assigned entities.
  • Run depreciation for assigned entities and complete Fixed Assets reconciliation.
  • Review and post journals as required
  • Assist with the annual preparation of the Group Statutory Accounts
  • Completing group audit sample requests as allocated.
  • Assisting with data migration projects as and when required.

The Successful Candidate

  • Strong experience in Revenue, variance analysis and financial planning
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel
  • Part Qualified or QBE level candidate is desirable
  • Experience in NetSuite is desirable
  • Experience in multi-currency environment is preferable, as well as dealing with stakeholders in various international locations
