Accounting Technician/Tax Technician Hybrid

Abacus are delighted to be working with a fantastic and well established company based in Belfast City, in recent years, have undergone huge success and growth. Due to this, they are seeking to add a Tax Technician/Accounts Technician to their busy team.

• Hours 8.15-5 Monday to Thursday (flexible with start and finish times)
• 8.30-1 Fridays
• 45 min lunch
• 33 hols/year incl stats
• Hybrid model in place should you want to work a few days from home each week.

The Role: Working within the tax team, primarily focussed on personal tax matters.

In your new role you responsibilities will be:

• Preparation of personal tax returns and computations for management review.
• Completion of Income and Expenditure statements and rental accounts for tax return purposes.
• Assisting with the preparation of P11D forms.
• Liaising with HMRC with regards to personal tax matters
• Involvement in personal tax projects
• Develop direct contact with clients, providing quality, timely and responsive services.

Who you are:

• Be a qualified Tax Technician or Accounting Technician with experience in personal tax.
• Previous tax related experience in a medium size firm would be beneficial.
• Strong organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly excel.
