Finance Assistant

• Location: Belfast City
• Hours of Work: 9am – 5.30pm Mon to Thurs, and 5pm Friday finish.
• Hybrid Working: Yes (optional)
• Accessible by public transport: Yes, train and bus routes

• Salary: £22K – £27K, depending on experience level. Please enquire for more information related to your specific skillset.

Finance is a key element in any business, big or small, and that’s why this role is key to the successful functioning of the operations behind one of Belfast’s most recognisable landmarks. 

As Finance Assistant you will be responsible for:

• maintaining the purchase ledger
• maintaining the accounts receivable ledger
• manage credit limits and assist with credit control
• manage supplier accounts and related queries
• generate & process payments
• month-end preparations including reconciliations, accruals & prepayments
• prepare appropriate financial reporting and analysis

Reporting to the Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting with all transactional and administrative financial tasks, while assisting with and gaining exposure to month-end processes. 

This role is open to experienced Finance/Accounts Assistants, Office Administrators or qualified Accounting Technicians seeking to begin their career in accounting. 

You will stand out if you bring:

• Experience with computerised accounting software
• Strong Excel skills
• Previous finance / bookkeeping experience
• Qualification with IATI, AAT or equivalent.
