Abacus’ April Floors Challenge

Abacus’ April Floors Challenge

25 April 2022 by Justin Rush

As the warmer weather is approaching we wanted to come together as a team to get outdoors and get moving, so our theme for April has been a floors challenge.  (The Apple health app describes a floor as approximately 16 flights of stairs)

At Abacus, it is difficult for us not to have a bit of competition between us all so we have split into two teams to compete against each other.  The goal is simple…  the team that has achieved the most amount of floors in the month will be the winners.  They will enjoy a half-day off as well as a lovely lunch with plenty of wine.

The lift has been out of action for the month and many of us have been slogging away on our gym’s stair masters.

The competition had been very close over the first 2 weeks until team A went one step ahead and climbed Slieve Donard. Team A set off at 9:30am, with a furry friend, and made it back down by 14:30pm to enjoy very well deserved G&T’s and some doggy treats (for the dog!!).

Results

With one week left, Team A is in the lead with 3473 floors and Team B is on 2780.

The question is, will Team B ever catch Team A??  You will have to wait and see!

And the winners were Team A !!!
