IT Support Technician

Abacus are delighted to be working with a Northern Ireland based housing organisation, who are looking for an IT Support Technician to contribute to the high quality and professional IT service that fully supports the business.

The successful candidate will have 1+ years IT experience and will support the Head of IT in achieving targets and service level agreements (SLAs) and the provision of a comprehensive IT support service as part of the existing Helpdesk facility.

Criteria:

• A relevant HNC qualification e.g. computing/Microsoft /other system certification or equivalent
• 1 years relevant experience supporting and troubleshooting IT systems, server/pc hardware, operating systems, back office applications and network technologies 
• Minimum of 1 year working in a customer focused role
• Customer focused with excellent problem-solving skills
• Good organisation skills and ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload
• A current full driving licence and access to a suitable form of transport
• MCP/MCSA/MCSD Certification – desirable
• Experience in website content management software – desirable
• Knowledge of security standards (BS7799 and ISO1779 – desirable
