Your Role

As part of the Architecture, Data and Engineering team, the successful candidate will:

• Ensure the company has a focus on and maintains an enterprise data governance framework for data policies, processes, standards, and practices to achieve the required level of consistency and quality to meet business needs
• Set the vision for the company’s use of data and manage the company’s data/application catalogues, matrices and diagrams to improve the quality and value of core data assets
• Manage the way that people and programs engage with data, ensuring that data can be turned into valuable insights that inform business decisions.
• Consistently communicate the business benefits of data standards and will champion and govern those standards across the firm.
• Ensure internal procedures keep pace with evolving data regulation and compliance.

The Essentials

• Experience in the development and management of an enterprise data catalogue
• Experience of developing, implementing, and managing a Data Governance and Data Quality Management Framework
• Clear knowledge and experience in the application of data governance, data privacy and data ethics principles
• Strong numeracy and statistical skills
• Strong leadership and influencing skills

What would make you stand out?

• NLP and Machine Learning Experience
• Experience using automated approaches to manage and support data privacy compliance

Tech:

• Power BI
• On-Premise SQL DB
• Delta Lake (DataBricks)
• Good Knowledge required of all Azure data products, including the use cases, advantages and disadvantages
• Data Catalog products (evaluate, design, implement and manage) e.g. Collibra, Azure Purview etc
