Senior Statistician

You will be:

• Creating and reviewing statistical documents such as study protocol, Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) and Statistical Analysis Reports (SARs).
• Performing analyses independently for smaller projects, or as part of a team for larger/complex projects
• Applying a range of skills and adapting them to suit many situations, using discretion to select the most appropriate techniques
• Acting as an internal expert for some skill areas and contributing to the development of internal resources.
• Delivering results to an agreed timeline with optimal quality.
• Interacting with a range of stakeholders and communicating proactively.

The essentials:

• Degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, pharmacology or with a strong statistical component
• Typically a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in the application of statistics on clinical trials (pharma, CRO, academic)
• Ability to communicate clearly in both written and spoken English
• Experience in SAS statistical software package
• Experience in study design and protocol contribution

Desirable:

• Higher degree in statistics or similar scientific discipline
• Experience in statistical software package R
• Experience of modelling and simulation techniques to explore complex study designs
• Experience of early-phase drug development processes including innovative/adaptive study design
• Experience providing recommendations for innovative analysis options to address strategic objectives in discussion with customers
• Experience in delivering customer projects to high quality standards
