13 February, 2023This leading Irish based MSP is looking for a technical support specialist to join their Belfast office. The Ideal candidate will have strong 2nd/3rd line support experience with a understanding of Windows, Office 365 and Active directory.
What you’ll do
- Supporting and maintaining MS Windows 7/8/10 users.
- Provide competent Office 365 administration.
- Setting up and configuring new laptops, desktops, tablets and phones.
- Working with 3rd party vendors you will be responsible for facilitating or installing authorised software.
- Ensuring antivirus, security patches and O/S upgrades are applied to appropriate devices and kept up to date.
- Diagnosing and resolving a broad range of technical issues.
- Undertaking IT projects – these will require working either autonomously or with your colleagues from the technical team.
- On occasions you may need to attend customer sites to act as their IT point of contact.
What you need
Essential
- Previous experience providing support & implementation within a busy technical services environment.
- Microsoft Windows, Office & Server Experience
- Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
- Understanding of network infrastructure, VMware, Citrix, Routers, Switches, Wireless Access Points, Firewall and Backup Technologies
- Good working knowledge of Office 365 and Microsoft Cloud Stack.
- Strong multitasking & problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication, customer handling and inter-personal skills
- Strong planning, organising and prioritising abilities.
- Flexible to cope with change, be proactive and adapt quickly to a developing type of service delivery.
- Flexible to visit client sites both in UK & Ireland as and when required.
- Full current UK driving licence and own transport.
Desirable
- MCP qualified or IT related certification / experience
- Experience using RMM toolsets in the past
- Use of InTune & Azure Administration
